Bucek Industries is a third-generation family owned and operated business based in Geelong, Australia. All our anodes are 100% Australian made and comply with Australian and international Standards.
Our team are highly skilled corrosion and mechanical engineers. Our purpose built 1,200m2 manufacturing plant includes dedicated foundry, machining, fabrication and laboratory hubs.
We are one of the largest manufacturers of sacrificial anodes in the Southern Hemisphere and our custom-made anodes are shipped all over the world.

Bucek Industries History
1960’s
1960’s
In the early 60’s Joe Bucek, a post war migrant to Australia establishes the Bucek Design and Development Company in his backyard foundry in Geelong, Victoria.
1970’s
1970’s
Joe Bucek purchases a site in Wattlepark Avenue, Moolap, and along with his sons, builds a metal casting factory. His eldest son, Jenda, a fine arts graduate, begins casting bronze sculptures and other products at the site. The Melbourne Cricket Ground bronze doors and Geelong’s Poppy Kettlr Fountain are among their most iconic pieces.
1980’s
1980’s
Joe’s second son, Frant Bucek, a mechanical engineer, completes his corrosion engineering training with Wilson Walton International. Bucek Industries is established and the foundry transitions to sacrificial anode manufacturing. Joe’s wife, Addy Bucek, joins the business and commences her 40 year tenure, managing the administrative and front of house operations.
1990’s
1990’s
Bucek Industries becomes a global manufacturer of magnesium anodes producing 500 tonnes a year. The company undertakes major anode projects, such as the North West Shelf Oil and Gas Field. Joe’s third son Yvor Bucek joins the team. In 1991 the Buckley Grove site is purchased to expand anode manufacturing.
2000’s
2000’s
In 2005 Marcel Bucek begins his apprenticeship with Grandfather Joe. He completes his precision and heavy machining training at Notley Engineering and moves on to job sites across Australia and around the world. In 2016 Marcel Bucek takes over as Director of Bucek Industries and continues to grow the business.

To meet the growing customer base, all manufacturing operations are moved to the Buckley Grove site from the Wattlepark Avenue factory. Three generations of Bucek family members are still involved in Bucek Industries.
